School governors play a crucial role in this, providing support and challenge to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. Schools need skilled and experienced staff from an education background to contribute to school governance.
Wakefield Council, in partnership with schools across the district, have produced this app to help skilled and experienced or aspiring leaders to learn more about school governance and how they can work within a local community and have a positive impact whilst potentially enhancing their own career opportunities.
